Tinubu address nation

By Modupe Gbadeyanka

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, President Bola Tinubu will speak to Nigerians through a nationwide broadcast at 7 am, a statement from his media aide, Mr Bayo Onanuga, has said.

It will be his second Independence Day celebration speech since he assumed office on May 29, 2023.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy advised media stations to tune in to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) to catch the broadcast.

“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast,” a part of the statement issued on Monday night stated.

Nigeria gained independence from Britain on October 1, 1960, but due to the economic crisis, the government is marking this year’s event on a low key.
