An initiative designed to move the conversation around rest beyond sleep and downtime has been launched by a Nigerian premium lifestyle and wellness brand, Fluidé Homes.

The campaign, Rise to Rest, aims to explore rest as an essential part of creativity, productivity, emotional well-being and the ability to show up fully in different areas of life.

Rest to Rise seeks to make rest a more visible, relatable and intentional part of everyday life, while opening up a wider conversation about the pressures of a culture that often equates constant activity with success.

At its core, the initiative challenges the glorification of exhaustion and the idea that slowing down is a sign of lost momentum. Instead, it puts forward a different perspective: that rest can create the clarity, energy and capacity required to work, create, connect and live more fully.

According to the founder of Fluidé Homes, Miracle Onuoha, the campaign was inspired by the need to create space for a broader and open conversation around rest.

“I wanted Fluidé to have a space where we could talk about rest beyond the products we create. A space to share what we believe, but also to listen to how other people experience rest and what it means in their lives and the work they do. That thinking became the Rest to Rise Conversation,” Onuoha stated.

Already, the initiative has sparked reactions on social media, with popular lifestyle medical practitioner, Aproko Doctor, contributing to the discussion around the realities of rest in everyday Nigerian life.

There are plans to take the initiative beyond social media through a mix of conversations, personal stories, research-led insights and real-world experiences designed to explore the Nigerian experience of rest.

The activations will bring the central message of Rest to Rise into everyday settings, creating tangible moments that invite people to experience rest rather than simply talk about it.
