Stanbic IBTC Donates COVID-19 Test Kits to UCH Ibadan

As part of efforts to support the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the territory, Stanbic IBTC Bank has donated test kits to the University College hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State.

Presenting the items to Professor Olayinka Omigbodun, Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Regional Manager SW1, Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Mr Olatayo Adediran, said the donation of the COVID-19 test kits to UCH will improve the rate of testing in the nation’s largest city by geographical area and the seat of the first University in Nigeria.

He explained that the medical items were given to the health facility to show its commitment to the control of the contagion in the nation.

The Provost, while receiving the test kits, commended Stanbic IBTC Bank for the gesture, assuring that they would be used judiciously.

The donation was also witnessed by some members of the college, including Professor Adesola Ogunniyi, the College Research & Innovation Management; Dr A. O. Adebiyi, the CRIM Coordinator; Dr Adeola Fowotade, the Head of Clinical Virology; and Mr Olisa Olasunkanmi, the Laboratory Manager).
