Berger Paints Chooses Adetomiwa as Acting MD/CEO

Mr Adeyemi Adetomiwa has been announced as the acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Berger Paints Plc, following the retirement of Mr Anjan Sircar.

The paint maker in a statement stated that Mr Sincar is retiring from the board upon the completion of his three-year tenure as MD/CEO of the organisation.

The appointment of Mr Adetomiwa became effective on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, and prior to yesterday, he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company.

Mr Adetomiwa, who joined the firm in 2019 as COO, brings on board almost three decades of management experience in the manufacturing industry.

He is a Certified Environmental Scientist (National Registry of Environmental Professionals, U S A) and holds a B.Tech Degree in Chemistry from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Oyo State.

He joined the services of CAP Plc as an Assistant Production Manager in 2001 and worked in various capacities including Process Support Manager, Planning Manager, and Plant Manager.

Between 2011 and 2018, he also served as the Technical Operations Manager (Acting), Quality Assurance Manager, Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Manager.

In the statement, the board expressed its gratitude to Mr Sircar for his services and dedication to the company for the entirety of his tenure.
