Cadbury Appoints Amir Shamsi Managing Director as Naaman Resigns

Mr Muhammad Amir Shamsi has been announced as the new Managing Director of Cadbury Nigeria Plc.

This followed the resignation of Mr Roy Naaman as the company’s boss.

However, a statement issued on behalf of the company by its Director of Corporate & Government Affairs, Bala Yesufu; and Secretary, Fola Akande, revealed that Mr Amir Shamsi would only take over as the MD on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, because the resignation of Mr Naaman would take effect on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

The statement also disclosed that Mr Amir Shamsi, until his appointment, was Mondelez International’s Director of Innovation Kids Wholesome, Global Biscuits, East Hanover, USA.

In 2013, he was the Marketing Director West Africa of the firm, having been the Head of New Categories & Gum & Candy¬West Africa a year before.

From the 2004 to 2009, he worked at ICI Paints – Dulux Paints (Decorative Wall Paint Business) and rose to become the National Sales Manager Decorative Wall Paints Pakistan.
