CISI UK Appoints NASD’s Ajomale President of Nigerian Chapter

Managing Director of NASD Plc, Mr Bola Ajomale, has been appointed as the president of Nigerian Advisory Council of the Chartered Institute for Investments and Securities UK (CISI).

Mr Ajomale was formally put on the position Sunday, March 10, 2019, at a ceremony which took place in Lagos.

Some of the important persons present on the occasion included the CISI UK Senior International Manager, Mr Prannet Shivaprasad, and members of the Nigerian Advisory Council CISI.

In his inaugural speech, Mr Ajomale welcomed the opportunity to contribute positively to the Nigerian capital market via his role as president of CISI, Nigerian chapter through the enhancement of skills, knowledge and behaviour among new and existing market participants.

He promised to use his experience to advance the nation’s capital market with the introduction of innovations.

The CISI is a global not-for-profit professional body with members in over 100 countries. It has established its presence in Africa since 2012, offering exams and membership across the continent, with regulatory approval for its examinations in eight countries.

The CISI is an Associate Member of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) in a partnership which aims to promote professionalism and develop channels for capacity building and knowledge sharing to support the growth of the capital markets profession in Africa.
