Tinubu Okays Ukeyima as Nigerian Shippers’ Council CEO

The appointment of Mr Akutah Ukeyima as the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has been approved by President Bola Tinubu.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed the appointment of Mr Ukeyima in a statement signed on Wednesday.

Mr Ngelale said the new chief executive of the NSC was recommended for the position by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola.

He also disclosed that another recommendation was the appointment of Mr Munirudeen Oyebamiji as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

The spokesman said that this has also been approved by his boss.

Mr Tinubu tasked the new appointees to “faithfully implement the policies and programmes of the Honourable Minister in pursuit of the expeditious and efficient attainment of bolstered revenues and investments as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda’s Blue Economy strategy.”

Mr Ukeyima is a graduate of Law and holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. ⁣

On his part, Mr Oyebamiji is a graduate of Banking and Finance and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Business Administration.
