The next day after the Senate confirmation of Mr Aliyu, President Tinubu appointed Mr Olaopa and the other commission board members.

The new FCSC leadership was expected to commence work with effect from November 30, 2023, following the expiration of the tenure of the then-current Federal Civil Service Commission Chairman and membership on November 29, 2023.
