A certified Chartered Accountant, Mrs Lesley Baxter-Green, has been appointed to the board of directors of Total Nigeria Plc, an energy company listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
The appointment of Mrs Baxter-Green was announced by the firm in a statement signed on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, by its secretary, Popoola Mordi.
She is joining the board as an Executive Director and would be expected to use her experience as a management accounting expert to drive growth of the company.
Mrs Baxter-Green was said to have joined Total Group in 1997 and before now became an Internal Auditor, Corporate Internal Control and Audit at Total S.A. Paris.
“This is to inform the investing public that the board of directors of Total Nigeria Plc has appointed Mrs Lesley Baxter-Green as a Director of the company with effect from August 16, 2019.
“Mrs Lesley Baxter-Green is a certified Chartered Accountant, and holds an MBA and has over 20 years of management accounting experience.
“She joined Total Group in 1997 and her career progression has spanned different continents which includes Europe (United Kingdom, France), Asia (China) and Africa (South Africa).
“Until her appointment as an Executive Director of Total Nigeria Plc, she was the Internal Auditor, Corporate Internal Control and Audit at Total S.A. Paris,” the statement said.
