From Igwe’s Power Move to Latifa’s Shocking Decision, Episode Three Refuses to Calm Down
Episode three of Africa Magic Heartbeat picked up exactly where the tension left off, and if episode two was about shifting power, this one was about using it.
After winning the “Score the Kiss” challenge, Igwe made his choice and selected Toria to join him in the Love Nest. The decision felt deliberate and a little dangerous, confirming his growing reputation as the wildcard of the season. As the rest of the house watched, it became clear that Igwe was no longer just reacting to attention. He was actively shaping the chaos.
With the Love Nest decided, the remaining singles were left to chance. Numbers were drawn, and new pairings emerged for the night. Alvin found himself paired with Hilda, Queen Latifa with Henri, and Ken with Shekinah. But the pairing that raised eyebrows was Chidera and Kena, who once again picked matching numbers. At this point, it felt less like a coincidence and more like the universe insisting on unfinished business.
The next morning brought a poolside game that quickly turned uncomfortable. When Queen Latifa was asked to suck Igwe’s toe and did so without hesitation, all eyes shifted to Ken. The moment lingered, and the tension was unmistakable.
Things escalated further when it was Igwe’s turn. Asked to walk up to the person he found most attractive and kiss them, he initially moved toward Chidera, clearly enjoying the suspense. At the last second, he switched direction and kissed Queen Latifa instead. The reaction was immediate. Ken later admitted it was difficult to watch, and episode three made it clear that jealousy was no longer subtle.
As the day progressed, it became obvious that some of the earlier pairings were already losing steam. They struggled to find rhythm, except for Chidera and Kena who continued growing closer. Elsewhere, Shekinah appeared to shift her focus toward Igwe, a move that felt less about connection and more about sending a message to Alvin.
Toria, meanwhile, pulled Alvin aside for a heart-to-heart conversation. She openly expressed her discomfort, pointing out that he seemed torn between her and Shekinah. Calling herself possessive and jealous, she asked him to be honest and clear the air. Before the conversation could settle, Shekinah arrived, and the tension became too much. Toria chose to walk away.
As night fell, host Seyitan Atigarin introduced a new Heartbeat challenge centred on seductive dancing. This time, the women took the floor while the men watched and scored. According to Seyitan, the goal was simple: explore, take risks, and avoid locking into early comfort zones. Toria sat out the challenge due to feeling unwell, but the rest of the ladies came prepared.
Queen Latifa dominated the round, repeatedly scoring perfect tens from the men. When the final scores were tallied, she emerged the winner and earned the power to choose who would join her in the Love Nest.
All eyes turned to Ken. But Latifa had other plans.
Instead of choosing familiarity, she announced she wanted fresh blood. The decision landed like a bombshell and brought episode three to a close on a cliffhanger that promised even more disruption.
If episode three proved anything, it is that comfort does not last long on Heartbeat. Power keeps changing hands, jealousy is no longer hidden, and choices are starting to carry real consequences.

Who’s Playing Who? Heartbeat Episodes 5 & 6 Bring All the Twists
Episode 4 ended with Latifah holding the biggest power move of the night. After winning the Heartbeat Game and securing the Love Nest key, she surprised everyone by choosing Ken again instead of exploring someone new. The Love Dip Game followed, flipping the house upside down with unexpected pairings: Igwe with Shekinah, Kena with Toria, Alvin with Chidera, and Hilda with Henri. Kena and Chidera were separated despite being emotionally locked in, though Kena assured everyone it wouldn’t affect their bond. Some singles chose to sleep alone, seeking peace over drama, while tensions and emotions ran high as housemates navigated jealousy, confusion, and budding connections.
Moving into Episode 5, the Love Pad welcomed new singles, instantly shaking things up. Kena continued to steal hearts, but Chidera made it clear that whatever was brewing, she wasn’t stepping aside quietly. Henri decided to focus on Latifah, only for the tension between her and Ken to resurface, proving their push-and-pull was far from over. The biggest revelation came from Ceeoni, who casually dropped that she and Henri were exes, an unexpected twist that sent shockwaves through the house.
The games heated up with the Love Nest key challenge, which Bosah won and chose Hilda, leaving everyone else free to sleep anywhere and explore new connections. Meanwhile, old flames and new attractions collided: Kena gave Chidera roses to apologise for earlier tension, Jane went after Kenna, and Alvin and Toria explored a connection only to break it off the same day. Igwe and Shekinah continued their confusing dance, giving everyone something to question. Letters were exchanged in the Love Hearts, revealing unspoken feelings, jealousy, and some serious surprises. By the end of Episode 5, the house was buzzing with drama, unresolved emotions, and new sparks flying everywhere.
Episode 6 picked up with even more intensity. Alvin and Toria addressed their fallout, confirming their chapter was closed right before it started, while Igwe called out Latifah for seeming unsure about Ken, and Shekinah confronted Igwe about his letters to multiple women. Ken found himself pulled in three directions: Latifah, Ceeoni, and Hilda, and chaos followed when he lied about setting up a dinner date for Ceeoni, claiming production orchestrated it. Hilda uncovered the truth and immediately told Latifah, leaving her furious and done with Ken. Meanwhile, Ken tried pivoting toward Toria but was shut down, Ceeoni admitted feeling like a victim, and the house was left in complete emotional turmoil.
By the end of these two episodes, old bonds were shaken, new attractions were forming, and the Love Pad was more unpredictable than ever. In this season, no connection is safe, jealousy runs deep, and anyone can switch lanes at a moment’s notice.

VENUSTA Fashion Show Plans Soil & Symbol Edition at LUTH July 25
By Adedapo Adesanya
The VENUSTA Fashion Show has announced its 2026 edition themed Soil & Symbol, with the cultural runway experience to hold on July 25, 2026, at the New Great Hall of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos.
The campus edition is being staged in collaboration with the College of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences Students’ Association (COMPSSA), marking a strategic expansion of the platform into academic spaces while remaining open to designers, fashion enthusiasts, and cultural stakeholders across Nigeria and the African continent.
According to the organisers, the theme Soil & Symbol interrogates identity, origin, and African heritage. Designers are expected to interpret culture through fabric, texture, symbolism, and storytelling, fusing tradition with contemporary aesthetics in ways that foreground African roots and narratives.
Speaking on the collaboration, VENUSTA founder, Mr Michael Okolie, popularly known as ICHIE PANDA, described the LUTH edition as a strategic move.
He stated that the partnership with COMPSSA is focused on talent exploration, talent exposition, and talent monetisation, noting that campuses are filled with untapped creative potential waiting for the right platform.
According to him, VENUSTA is intentionally building a bridge between academia and the creative industry, ensuring that students who design, model, style, shoot, produce, or manage brands have access to visibility, structure, and economic opportunity.
“This is bigger than a runway,” he added. “It’s about creating a system where talent is discovered, developed, and turned into value.”
In addition to the runway showcase, VENUSTA 2026 will officially unveil a new competition feature, The Search for the FACE OF VENUSTA, a competition designed to engage younger audiences and identify bold personalities who embody culture, confidence, and modern African style. The initiative aims to expand the brand’s reach, scout and train aspiring models and build a vibrant youth drive community.
With a growing youth demographic and a highly engaged campus audience, the LUTH edition presents strong collaboration opportunities for brands seeking authentic access to younger consumers. From fashion and beauty to tech, lifestyle, finance, and media, VENUSTA offers partners cultural relevance, direct engagement, and organic brand storytelling within an influential student ecosystem.
VENUSTA Fashion Show continues to position itself as a forward-thinking platform celebrating African beauty, creativity, and innovation.
