The Nigerian film industry has again been thrown into mourning as another actor, Mr Gbadebo Osmond, has breathed his last two weeks after the demise of Mr Leo Mezie.

The movie star, who acted prominently in Yoruba films, was reported to have kicked the bucket on Monday after an undisclosed illness.

Business Post gathered that he was on a movie set last week with another superstar, Laide Bakare. Though he was looking frail and not in his usual chubby state, there was no hint that he could leave the world so soon.

His death has left some of his colleagues in confusion with an actor, Adeniyi Johnson, posting on his Instagram page, “This hits differently that I can’t even post your picture. Every soul around us knows I love you. How I wish…”

Laide Bakare, who was with him on a movie location last week and shared a video of their playful moment wrote, “Hmmmmm sad! Sad!! Sad!!!! 😔this was just four days ago, and today, [I am] hearing you are no more, it’s indeed a big shocker, Rip Osmond.”

Another mourner, Yomi Fabiyi, a fellow actor, said, “So, so sad and a deeply painful loss, Osmond Gbadebo. You are a fighter and safe to say you have gone to rest. Ever jovial, ever supportive and ever friendly. Rest in peace and power.”
