Nollywood Stars Laud Nigerian Embassy in South Africa

The Nigerian embassy in South Africa has been commended for its continuous contributions toward ensuring the safety of Nigerians in the former apartheid country.

The commendation came from a few of the Nollywood stars based in South Africa led by Mr Stanley Sule better known as Ukwa South of the Groups of Nigerian Movie Actors and Crew.

Others included renowned actor, Tuvi James; Fred Abiodun, otherwise known as Big Fred; and the Head of Dex Productions, Mr Destiny.

During a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Embassy in South Africa, the showbiz personalities thanked the team at the embassy for their support and swift response to the needs of Nigerians in the country.

The movie stars, who were received by the Consular General, Mr A.N Idi, promised to use their influence to promote the activities and achievements of the embassy.

The Consul General, who was later presented with an Award of Excellence, heaped praises on the Nollywood team.

He also thanked them for the honour bestowed on him, also saying it is a wake-up call for Nigerians to register themselves whenever they are in a foreign land to be able to bring unity among the citizens.

Mr Idi assured his guests of the continued support of the embassy to Nigerian citizens living in South Africa, charging the entertainment personalities to continue to use their influence to project the image of Nigeria positively.
