An event centre believed to have gulped billions of Naira has been opened along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.

The facility is owned by one of the wives of a flamboyant traditional ruler in the state, Oba Saheed Elegushi, the 21st monarch of Ikate-Elegushi, who has a penchant for luxury items.

Queen Sekinat, who built the event centre, which sits on over a 10,000sqm of land, named the place TheMonarch and nothing was spared to make it a world-class.

Known for her style, the beautiful and celebrated queen is leaving no one in doubt as to all the elements she put into the new edifice she unfolded.

According to her, she had nursed the idea with her husband for long to establish an event centre that will catch the fancy of those who love luxury and boast of facilities that are incomparable to any other within the Lagos environment.

Recently, TheMonarch hosted its first event and it was the 50th birthday celebration of the Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, who is also a cousin to Oba Elegushi.

The classy party had many Lagos political bigwigs, first-class kings and other friends and associates of the Elegushi family and Fuji king K1 De Ultimate, who is also the Maiyegun of Yoruba land, was on the bandstand to serenade the guests.

For those who attended the party, they testified that TheMonarch is world-class and praised the queen for the facility because of its standard.

According to the testimonies, TheMonarch, which overlooks the Elegushi’s palace, is a one-stop-shop for all that is required to have a memorable event because of its masterpiece architectural design, top of the range interior décor, shopped from the biggest designers across the best in the world and over a 500-capacity car park.

It was said that TheMonarch is a testament of class, pristine and exquisitely burnished with class, emphasising without much effort, the sheer tastefulness of the owner.

Those who witnessed the party recently confessed that the attention to the details that characterises the structure was excellent; both the interior and exterior decor were carefully chosen and planned with flawless finesse.

From these, there is no doubt that the masterpiece called TheMonarch is set to change the face of event centres in the fast-growing Eti-Osa and Lekki areas in Lagos, the city of aquatic splendour.
