Popular Nigerian songstress, Simi Kosoko, otherwise known Simi, has left the record label that brought her into fame, X3M Music, owned by Steve Babaeko.

Simi exited the entertainment outfit after five year. The company was responsible for the release of the songbird’s latest album, Omo Charlie Champagne, which was released last month.

The singer, who earlier in the year married her colleague, Adekunle Gold, at a private wedding ceremony in Lagos, left X3M Music after the expiration of her five-year contract with the firm.

Information has it that both parties decided not to renew the agreement signed between them and parted ways with mutual respect.

“We only sign artists that we love and believe in. We know our taste in music is rather different, but we only sign talents who meet that taste.

“Fortunately, we have been able to find millions of music lovers here and abroad, who share similar tastes, as is evident in the success of all the artists we have worked with, including Simi,” the music firm said.

While with X3M Music, Simi released several hit songs, which put her on the A-list category in the Nigerian music industry.
