Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo Dies

The Nigerian film industry has again been thrown into mourning, as it has lost one of its veterans, Mr Taiwo Hassan, otherwise known as Ogogo.

The death of the veteran actor was confirmed by one of her daughters, Kira, who announced a few days ago about his illness.

In the video, she disclosed that Ogogo was battling stage 4 cancer and needed better medical attention to get better.

During an Instagram live on Sunday, Kira, who is based abroad, expressed shock over the news of her father’s demise, who was aged 66.

“My daddy is dead,” she said while crying during the social media live video on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
