Winner of Nigerian Idol Season 8 Winner, Victory Gbakara, and the runner-up, Precious Mac, were recently at the Lagos office of Bigi, one of the sponsors of the music talent show, which brought them to limelight.
During the visit, the duo expressed gratitude to Bigi, a brand from the stables of Rite Foods, commending them also for quenching the thirsts of their consumers.
“I have experienced them and tasted most of their products and they are 100 per cent,” Precious Mac said.
On July 16, 2023, Victory Gbakara defeated Precious Mac to become the Season 8 winner of Nigerian Idol.
The Delta State-born 25-year-old lawyer went home with the grand prize of N100 million, comprising N35 million in cash, a sleek new SUV, a Bigi branded refrigerator, a year’s supply of Bigi soft drinks, a recording label contract, and a fully equipped DStv Explora with a 12-month premium subscription.
He said the support of Bigi gave the prestigious show massive publicity, which the songwriter said he is currently enjoying, as the programme has given him the needed exposure.
Reflecting on the brand, Victory Gbakara lauded the brand’s customer-centric focus and exceptional quality, particularly praising the refreshing taste of Bigi Tropical.
In her remarks, the Assistant Brand Manager for Bigi at Rite Foods Limited, Ms Biola Aransiola, emphasised the brand’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the entertainment industry.
She highlighted Bigi’s pivotal role in nurturing young Nigerian talent, propelling them toward superstardom in their respective music genres.
