A notable director and actor in the Yoruba genre of the Nigerian film industry, Mr Yusuf Olorungbede, has reportedly died after a battle with an illness.
A renowned actress, Foluke Daramola Salako, confirmed the demise of her colleague in a post on Wednesday morning.
This has continued to generate reactions from friends, associates, and fans of the late actor, who expressed condolences for the loss.
Recall that a while ago, the actress sought the assistance of well-wishers to save the life of Olorungbede, who is also a notable movie director in the industry.
He had been placed on life support until he gave up the ghost.
“We lost Yusuf Olorungbede… We submit to God’s will. Thank you, everyone!” the post by Foluke Daramola Salako on her verified Instagram page stated.
“It is sad to hear you are gone.
“As an actor, you gave me courage; you are the first director that will invite me to a movie location and pay me, not just that alone, my feeding and personal accommodation were settled without stress.
“How will I write up my stories in this industry and slide your name EGBON???? Ko possible (not possible).
“Through you, I met a lot [of people] and I learnt so much from you. Good night boss man, Yusuf Olorungbede,” another actor, Oladimeji Peter, wrote on Facebook.
