NGX to Host TechNovation Conference September 30

Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited is set to host the maiden edition of its TechNovation Conference on Thursday, September 30 2021.

NGX TechNovation Conference would be a flagship event that will provide a platform for local and global technology leaders to syndicate conversations around technology, partnerships and innovation that can advance technology adoption in the Nigerian capital market.

This edition of the conference is with the theme Technology, Platforms and Markets and would be hosted by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NGX Limited, Mr Temi Popoola.

The event is part of the exchange’s determination to leverage technology to provide a broad range of services, including but not limited to smart capital formation.

TechNovation is set to serve as a platform that can create opportunities for smart business leaders looking to tap into the next level of growth and competitive advantage.

The programme will feature leading industry experts across the public and private sectors including the Director-General of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Mr Lamido Yuguda; the President of Africa Fintech Network, Mr Segun Aina; and the CEO of Flutterwave, Mr Olugbenga Agboola.

Topics to be addressed during the conference include the Future is Digital which will lay emphasis on digital transformation, new tech and emerging markets as well as the Path to Exponential Growth, while Beyond Tech will feature partnerships, business models and innovation.

Interested participants are expected to register for the online event at the NGX group website, under the technovation menu.

Some confirmed speakers for the webinar are the Executive Commissioner (Operations) at SEC, Mr Dayo Obisan; the founder of Future Africa, Mr Iyin Aboyeji; and the Chief Transformation Officer of Data Science Nigeria, Mr Bayo Adekanbi.

Others are the CEO of 54Gene, Mr Abasi Ene-Obong; the Chief Customer Experience Officer, Interswitch, Mr Oremeyi Akah; the Country Manager of OPay, Mr Ini Akpan; and the CEO of F10, Mr Andreas Itern.

UPDATED: Court Remands Two Caverton Helicopters’ Pilots

Two pilots of Carveton Helicopters were on Tuesday remanded in prison custody by a Port Harcourt Chief Magistrate Court in Rivers State.
