LCCI Hosts Workshop on Capacity Building in Transportation Industry

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), will hold a national workshop focusing on the transportation industry with the theme ‘Capacity Building in the Transport Industry Vis-à-Vis the Railway, Maritime and Aviation Sub-sectors.’

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director General of LCCI, Mr Muda Yusuf.

“The workshop will create a platform for relevant stakeholders to address and exchange views on the dearth of skilled manpower in the transportation sub-sectors,” Mr Yusuf explained in the statement.

According to him, the theme of the workshop will be addressed by leading stakeholders in the industry like Dr. Dakuku Peterside, Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA); Engr. Fidet Edetanien Okhiria, Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC); Captain Fola Akinkuotu, Director General, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA); Mr John Cashin, CEO & Director MetroRail Limited among others.

“Mr Ladi Lawanson, the Commissioner for Transportation, Lagos State is the Guest of Honour,” he said.

“The purpose of the forum is to deliberate and share perspectives on new frontiers for the Nigerian transport sector,” he added.

The workshop is scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, behind MKO Abiola Gardens, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

Lagos Commences Sale of Rice, Oil to Boost Food Supply
