President of the United States of America, Mr Donald Trump, has sparked an online outrage after describing a former White House aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman, a black woman, as a “lowlife” being and “dog.”
The President, in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon, praised the White House Chief of Staff, Mr John Kelly, for firing Omarosa, who gained limelight as a contestant on Mr Trump’s reality TV show, ‘The Apprentice.’
“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!” Mr Trump tweeted.
Omarosa had secured a $180,000-a-year staff job at the White House, but she was later fired by Mr Kelly.
Few days ago, she released an audio accusing Mr Kelly of forcing her to quit the job.
On Monday, she also released a recording of a private conversation she had with Mr Trump after she was fired.
Meanwhile, Mr Trump’s tweet has been condemned by several people, who described him as an unrepentant racist. They said his description of Omarosa was not befitting of a President, especially of the United States.
