The planned protest against the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for Monday, February 6, 2017, has kicked off in Lagos at the National Stadium in Surulere.

Protesters converged at the stadium as instructed by organisers to march to the National Theatre in Iganmu, where the demonstration will terminate.

As early as 9am, some of the demonstrators arrived the venue despite heavy security deployed to the area led by the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Fatai Owoseni.

Some of the protesters carried placards asking “where is the President?” “All Nigerians’ Lives Must Matter” and others.

As at the time of filing this report, Business Post correspondent says the demonstration has remained very peaceful with no form of intimidation from anybody.
