At least three persons were feared dead in the early hours of Friday in Damboa area of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
The dead victims were reported to be suicide bombers, who carried out multiple bomb explosions in the area.
It was learnt that a filling station on the Damboa road was attacked by one of the suicide bombers on Friday morning while many residents were fast asleep.
According to reports, the suicide bombers were two males and a female.
During the attack, fuel trucks were completely destroyed.
It is still not certain if there were other human fatalities during the incident, but we learnt security officials and rescue workers are at the scene of the explosions.
