The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange extended its stay in the green territory by 0.26 per cent on Monday, October 21.

During the session, Mixta Real Estate Plc appreciated by 20 Kobo to close at N2.15 per share compared to the preceding day’s N1.95 per share and Nipco Plc improved its value by N8.00 to trade at N97.00 per unit versus last Friday’s closing price of N89.00 per unit.

At the close of business, the market capitalisation added N2.77 billion to finish at N1.048 trillion against the preceding session’s N1.045 trillion, and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) ended the day at 2,991.45 points after it added 7.90 points to the previous session’s 2,983.55 points.

Business Post reports that yesterday, Acorn Petroleum Plc lost 23 Kobo to close at N2.42 per unit compared with the previous session’s N2.65 per unit, NASD Plc weakened by 31 Kobo to sell at N15.20 per share versus last Friday’s N15.51 per share, and Geo-Fluids Plc went down by 2 Kobo to close at N4.49 per unit, in contrast to the previous day’s N4.51 per unit.

The activity chart showed that the volume of shares transacted on Monday at the bourse grew by 744.6 per cent to 5.4 million units from 635,503 units, and the value of securities transacted by the market participants increased on the first trading session of the week by 466.7 per cent to N24.4 million from N4.3 million.

These transactions were executed in 30 deals, in contrast to the 27 deals carried out last Friday, indicating an 11.1 per cent increase.

At the close of business, Geo-Fluids Plc remained the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.4 billion units worth N3.3 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 751.3 million units sold for N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.4 million units valued at N5.3 million.

Also, Aradel Holdings Plc remained the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 108.7 million units valued at N89.2 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with 751.3 million units worth N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.4 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
