Global Music Industry Mourns as American Icon Dolly Parton Dies

The global music scene has been thrown into mourning following the death of legendary American singer Dolly Parton.

The United States music icon died on Tuesday, according to a statement from her family tonight.

The 80-year-old Coat of Many Colours crooner breathed her last after a period of failing health. She has not been seen publicly lately.

The late Dolly Parton burst into the spotlight in 1967 when she joined country star Porter Wagoner’s TV show as a co-star, as the programme launched her into the national limelight.

Her demise has drawn worldwide tributes from fans and other superstars, who continue to celebrate her in death because of her impact in the showbiz ecosystem.
