Nigerian dancer and socialite, Mr Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has been formally charged in the United Kingdom with five sexual offences, including attempted rape and two counts of rape.

The charges were confirmed by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on Wednesday, with the case now set to proceed to plea and trial preparation.

According to Mr James Baker, the court’s Admin Team Leader, Poco Lee was charged with attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

“The defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x Rape, 2x Assault by penetration,” Mr Baker said in an email to The Punch Newspapers.

The court confirmed that the matter is scheduled for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.

Snaresbrook Crown Court also said a reporting restriction had been imposed to protect the anonymity of the complainant. The restriction means that details capable of identifying the complainant cannot be published in accordance with UK law.

Poco Lee had previously been linked to reports concerning sexual assault allegations in the UK, prompting his management and legal representatives to urge the public to exercise restraint while the legal process runs its course.

The latest court confirmation formally establishes the specific charges against the dancer, although the allegations remain before the court and Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence.
