The signing ceremony of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE will be held today, Monday, September 7, 2026.

A notice obtained by Business Post revealed that the event is scheduled for noon at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

The much-awaited IPO of Dangote Refinery, which is to allow members of the public to be a part-owner of the oil facility, is expected to commence next Monday, September 14, 2026.

According to reports, the company’s stocks would be sold to investors at a unit price of N525, with over four billion units up for grabs.

Today’s signing ceremony will be aired on YouTube, and it comes after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the proposed listing of Dangote Refinery on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.

The refinery, owned by business mogul Mr Aliko Dangote, will not be his first on the local stock exchange.

His other businesses currently listed on the bourse include Dangote Cement, NASCON, and Dangote Sugar.

Recall that before this planned IPO, Dangote Refinery carried out a private placement for high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and institutional investors, both local and international.

The Dangote Refinery, located in Lagos, currently has the capacity to refine 700,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The company plans to double this capacity in the coming years. It was built with about $20 billion and is currently worth $40 billion.
