BREAKING: Ekiti Assembly Deputy Speaker Impeached

Deputy Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Segun Adewunmi, has been impeached by members of the state parliament.

Mr Adewunmi was removed from office on Thursday, May 24, 2018, by majority votes.

It was gathered that the Deputy Speaker was impeached after a motion was moved to that effect during plenary today.

Meanwhile, members of the Ekiti Assembly have elected Mr Shina Animashaun as the new Deputy Speaker.
