The board of directors of Access Bank Plc has announced its intention to hold a meeting in a month’s time to look into the lender’s financial books for the year ended December 31, 2017.
In a statement released on Friday, December 29, 2017, the financial institution said the meeting has been slated for Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
During the meeting, which starts by 9am in Lagos, the board will “consider and approve the company’s audited financial statements for the financial year ended December 31, 2017, inclusive of payment of final dividend.”
Also, the statement, signed by the Company Secretary, Mr Sunday Ekwochi, stated that as a result, the firm has declared a closed period in respect of transaction of its securities from December 30, 2017.
With this, no director, employee, person discharging managerial responsibility, adviser of the company and their connected persons may directly or indirectly, deal in the securities of the company in any manner during the closed period.
“This is to inform the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that a meeting of the board of directors of Access Bank Plc has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 9am in Lagos to consider and approve the company’s audited financial statements for the financial year ended December 31, 2017, inclusive of payment of final dividend.
“The company has declared a closed period in respect of transaction of its securities from December 30, 2017 to such date as will be subsequently announced (both days inclusive) in compliance with the Listing Rules of the NSE.
“Accordingly, no director, employee, person discharging managerial responsibility, adviser of the company and their connected persons may directly or indirectly, deal in the securities of the company in any manner during the closed period,” the statement read.
