The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has given its ISO 90012015 certification to Union Bank of Nigeria after meeting the Quality Management Standard (QMS).

The financial institution was presented this certificate recently at its head office on Lagos by the Director-General of SON, Mr Osita Aboloma, who was represented by Mrs Oluremi Ayeni.

The DG, while commending Union Bank for being one of the first players in the banking sector to have attained this certification, said the certification would further place the lender ahead of others in the same industry.

“Union Bank’s focus on service delivery will definitely improve and strengthen its competitive edge.

“I commend Union Bank for attaining this certification milestone which indicates quality products and service delivery, and encourage other businesses to take the same step,” Mr Aboloma said.

In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank, Mr Emeka Emuwa, acknowledged the hard work, focus and dedication of the Union Bank team.

He said the financial institution would continue to put quality above everything it does.
