eTranzact Announces Closed Period as Board Meets

The board of directors of eTranzact International Plc has informed the investing public of its intention to convey a meeting on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

The motive of the meeting is to discuss the financial statements of the company for the half year ended June 30, 2019.

In a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), eTranzact disclosed that the board meeting will take place at the company’s corporate office in Lagos.

“We hereby give notice that the meeting of the board of directors of eTranzact International Plc will hold on July 24, 2019 at eTranzact International Plc’s corporate office, 27/29, Adeyemo Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos at 10.00 am to consider the company’s financial statements for the half year ended June 30, 2019,” the statement said.

As a result of this, the company has declared a closed period for the trading of its shares on the exchange by some key members of staff of the firm.

“In line with the provisions of Rule 17.2 of the Amendment To The Listing Rules and 17.17 of the Rule Book of the Nigerian Stock Exchange which have been incorporated into Sections 4 to 6 of the company’s Securities Trading Policy, all directors, persons discharging managerial responsibility, adviser(s) of the company or their connected persons are prohibited from trading in the company’s shares from July 5, 2019 until 24 hours after the release of the company’s financial statements for the half year ended June 30, 2019 to the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the general public,” the statement added.
