This week, three companies trading their securities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) will have their Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
Business Post reports that these organisations are LASACO Assurance Plc, The Tourist Company of Nigeria Plc and Tripple Gee & Company Plc.
The AGM of LASACO Assurance is slated for Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at the Oriental Hotel on Lekki–Epe Express Way, Victoria Island, Lagos and will commence by 11am, a notice from the firm stated.
On the same day at a different location in the city of Lagos, precisely at the Federal Palace Hotel & Casino on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, shareholders of The Tourist Company of Nigeria will gather for their own meeting by 11am.
The next day, which is Wednesday, September 16, 2020, shareholders of Tripple Gee & Company will converge on Conference Room 2, Sun Heaven Hotels & Resort located at Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos for their AGM by 11am.
Of the three AGMs, that of LASACO Assurance will likely be the busiest because the shareholders will like to get an update on the recapitalisation plan of the board and management of the company.
The regulatory agency of the insurance sector in Nigeria, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), has required operators in the space to increase their capital base.
