PZ Cussons Plc has released its financial statements for the first quarter of its fiscal year, which ended on August 31, 2026.

Analysis of the results by Business Post showed that revenue improved by 9.8 per cent to N64.8 billion from N59.0 billion in the same period last year, with the gross profit expanding to N19.8 billion from N15.9 billion despite a marginal surge in cost of sales to N45.1 billion from N43.1 billion.

However, in the period under review, higher selling and distribution costs, administrative expenses and others shrank the operating profit by 57.87 per cent to N9.1 billion from N21.6 billion.

Also, the pre-tax profit moderated to N9.1 billion from N21.5 billion, while the post-tax profit depleted to N4.6 billion from N13.5 billion, with the earnings per share down to N1.20 from N3.40.

The Company Secretary, Ms Oghenekevwe Ogefere, disclosed that PZ Cussons remains focused on sustaining revenue growth, improving operating performance, and delivering long-term value for its stakeholders.
