The need for President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently approach those who know how to positively turn around the economy has been emphasised.

This was the position of the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, when he visited the Government House in Kano.

The monarch, who spoke on Wednesday during the traditional Sallah Durbar (Hawan Nasarawa) in Kano, said the President must act now to salvage the country from its present mess.

The former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) also called on influential and wealthy Nigerians to do everything possible within their power to help the needy in the society so as to alleviate their sufferings.

According to him, this is the right time for the government to involve all forward-thinking individuals to come together to deliberate on ways to restore the country’s economy.

He expressed optimism that Nigerian would be great again if things were done right.
