The board of Stanbic IBTC Holdings has explained to the investing community the reason for the delay in releasing its half-year financial results of 2021.
The financial service holding company said that it was awaiting the approval of its audited financial statements by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Stanbic IBTC was supposed to release its HY results for the period ended June 30, 2021, on or before July 31, 2021, but the company has not done this, necessitating this explanation via a statement signed by the Company Secretary, Mr Chidi Okezie.
“This is to inform NGX Regulation Ltd. as well as our esteemed stakeholders that we are experiencing a slight delay in the release of the 2021 half-year audited financial statements for Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc.
“This delay is occasioned by the fact that we are currently seeking the approval of our primary regulator, the CBN, for the half-year audited financial statements, following which the said financial statements will then be released to the market,” the notice posted on the NGX said.
The bank further informed its shareholders that the release of its half-year financial results will occur before or shortly after August 29.
“We are working diligently to ensure that our company’s half-year results are submitted to the NGX as soon as we receive approval from our primary Regulator, the CBN; and this may occur before or shortly after the regulatory due date of August 29,” it stated.
