Unlisted Securities Record 1.00% Decline in 38th Trading Week of 2025

The 38th trading week of 2025 at the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange ended on a negative note with a 1.00 per cent decline, data from the bourse showed.
In the week, the market capitalisation of the trading platform went down by N21.45 billion to close at N2.1141 trillion compared with the N2.135 trillion recorded in the 37th week.
In the same vein, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) depreciated by 35.86 points to settle at 3,534.09 points, in contrast to the preceding week’s 3,569.95 points.
The alternative stock market succumbed to the losses reported by seven securities, outweighing the gains posted by six securities over five trading sessions.
The price losers were led by 11 Plc, which gave up 16.7 per cent to trade at N209.01 per unit versus N250.84 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc slumped by 11.8 per cent to N56.00 per share from N64.86 per share, Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC) Plc dropped 9.5 per cent to end the week at N2.66 per unit versus N2.94 per unit, First Trust Mortgage Bank Plc tumbled by 3.2 per cent to 60 Kobo per share from 62 Kobo per share, Afriland Properties Plc plunged by 1.4 per cent to N20.62 per unit from N20.90 per unit, NASD Plc decreased by 1.4 per cent to N29.00 per share from N29.04 per share, and MRS Nigeria Oil Plc lost 0.3 per cent to sell at N149.000 per unit versus N149.50 per unit.
For the gainers, Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc led after its price grew by 18.5 per cent to 64 Kobo per share from 54 Kobo per share, Geo-Fluids Plc rose by 9.9 per cent to N4.45 per unit from N4.05 per unit, Impresit Bakalori Plc increased by 9.4 per cent to N1.52 per share from N1.39 per share, Food Concepts Plc appreciated by 8.9 per cent to N3.78 per unit from N3.47 per unit, UBN Property Plc soared by 6.9 per cent to N2.15 per share from N2.01 per share, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc climbed by 0.5 per cent to N41.50 per unit from N41.30 per unit.
The week’s trading data showed that the total value of trades improved by 448.3 per cent to N123.8 million from N22.6 million, the total volume of transactions went up by 176.6 per cent to 8.6 million units from 3.09 million units, while the number of deals came down by 4.44 per cent to 86 deals from 90 deals.
The most traded stock by value was 11 Plc with N66.5 million, Purple Real Estate Plc recorded N15.0 million, Geo-Fluids Plc posted N13.4 million, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc achieved N11.7 million, and CSCS Plc transacted N9.5 million.
In terms of volume, Geo-Fluids Plc traded 3.0 million units, Purple Real Estate Plc exchanged 2.0 million units, First Trust Mortgage Bank Plc recorded 1.8 million units, 11 Plc quoted 0.3 million units, and Food Concepts Plc acheved 0.03 million units.
