President Muhammadu Buhari has announced his intention to leave the country for a medical attention in the United Kingdom.
According to Mr Buhari, he would be out of the country for four days and should be back this Saturday.
The trip to the UK is to enable him see his doctors, who asked him to show up for medical examination.
“I will be traveling to the United Kingdom tomorrow (Tuesday, May 8, 2018) to see my doctor, at his request. [I] will be away for four days [and expected] back in Abuja on Saturday, May 12,” the President said via his official Twitter account on Monday night.
On his return, Mr President is expected to embark on a two-day working visit to Jigawa State on Monday and Tuesday.
“I look forward to my 2-day state visit to Jigawa State on Monday and Tuesday next week, after my return,” Mr Buhari disclosed.
Last year, the President went on a long medical vacation in the UK, which fuelled different rumours in the country.
