Organised labour has suspended its nationwide protests, which commenced on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, to register its grievance against the policies of President Bola Tinubu.

The President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Mr Festus Osifo, confirmed the suspension of the action in an interview with Arise News on Thursday morning.

He said the leaders of the several labour unions, who had a meeting with Mr Tinubu on Wednesday night, were assured by the President that the issues raised would be addressed.

He explained the suspension of the demonstrations was based on the assurance by the Nigerian president.
