Senate Confirms Two New Ministers

The two ministerial nominees sent by President Muhammadu Buhari in March to the Senate for screening and confirmation have been confirmed.

The two nominees appeared before the lawmakers on Wednesday and were confirmed after they impressed the Senate.

The confirmed ministerial nominees are Mr Stephen Ocheni from Kogi State and Mr Suleiman Hassan from Gombe State.

While Mr Ocheni will replace Mr James Ocholi, who died in an accident in 2016, Mr Hassan will replace Mrs Amina Mohammed, who is now the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations.
