The committee on sale of government quarters recently set up by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has held its inaugural meeting in Sokoto.
Members of the committee, led by its Chairman and Commissioner of Lands and Housing, Mr MB Abubakar Gwuiwa, pledged to carry out their assignment diligently without fair or favour.
Other members of the committee include the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Permanent Secretary (Admin and General Services), retired Permanent Secretaries, Mr Bello Adamu, Mr Tukur Ibrahim and Mr Musa Illela, General Manager if Sokoto Housing Corporation and the General Manager, State Investment Company.
Others are Chairman, Sokoto State Board of Survey, representative of the labour unions and Director, Arch and Building.
The Director of Housing in the State Ministry of Lands and Housing is serving as the Secretary.
