A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mrs Sarah Alade, has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as his Special Adviser on Finance and Economy.
The selection of Mrs Alade was announced on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, by Mr Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr (Mrs) Sarah Omotunde Alade, as Special Adviser to the President on Finance and the Economy, domiciled in the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning,” Mr Garba said in the statement released by him.

She was appointed to the post by President Goodluck Jonathan on February 20, 2014 until the appointment of the present CBN chief, Mr Godwin Emefiele.
