Some officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from its 14 zonal commands have been chosen for a training programme on tax fraud investigation.

About 120 personnel of the agency were selected for the training, which commenced on Monday, July 18, 2022, at the EFCC Academy in Karu, Abuja.

It was learned that the workshop covers courses like Tax Fraud Investigation and Risk Management, Excel for Investigators and Analysts, Work Ethics and Integrity, and Personal Development for Middle Managers.

The Commandant of the Academy, Mr Ayo Olowonihi, while declaring the programme open, charged the officers to participate interactively and share experiences from their various zones while networking with others.

He explained that the event was put together by the management of the commission to hone the skills of its workforce for impactful performance.

Mr Olowonihi, therefore, charged them to be open to learning and maximize every opportunity offered by the training by paying attention to every detail.

“This is your academy, it is where you will be doing your training and retraining. This is part of the instrument that you will need to do your work as you grow up in your career. We are delighted to have you here and I hope you are happy to be here,” he said.
