Former Force PRO Moshood Jimoh Becomes Lagos Police Commissioner

A former Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Mr Moshood Jimoh, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police for Lagos Command.

Mr Jimoh, a Commissioner of Police (CP) by rank, was appointed to the position today, Monday, February 17, 2025, after the redeployment of Mr Lanre Ishola.

Before his latest appointment by the Police Service Commission (PSC), Mr Jimoh was Commissioner of Police for Ports Authority, Eastern Ports.

The Kwara State-born police officer had earlier been a Deputy Commissioner for Airport Police; Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Administration and Deputy Commissioner for General Investigation.

He has undergone several professional trainings, including combat operations course, Mobile Training College Maiduguri, African Union Mission in Darfur Sudan, Weapons of mass destruction counter measure first responder Training Institute USA, training on social construction and management reform at the China Executive Leadership Academy, Training on Maritime Rescue and Salvage for Developing Countries at the China Maritime Academy  Ningbo, and Training on anti hijacking techniques and tactics for developing countries at the Yunnan Police College  kunmung. He was also at the Police Training Institute in Seoul, South Korea.

Mr Jimoh is a recipient of the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the year in recognition of his sterling qualities and outstanding contribution to the development and use of PR by the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
