A member of the House of Representatives, Ms Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has appealed to members of her constituents to join the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement issued by her media aide, Mr Olamilekan Olusada, the federal lawmaker emphasised that her plea is for the public interest.
Recently, the police lamented that in its recruitment exercise, Nigerians from the southern part of the country did not apply for the job as expected as it was dominated by the northerners.
To make joining the force easy for residents of the Oluyole Federal Constituency, Ms Akande-Sadipe has reeled out her telephone contact, with a piece of advice to constituents to reach out to her, after applying.
The congresswoman, who doubles as the Chairman of the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, noted that she would ensure members of her constituency are not left out from the ongoing recruitment exercise.
“This is to inform you that the Police Service Commission has graciously approved the extension of the application deadline for more applicants into the Constable Cadre of the Nigeria Police Force”.
“We call on citizens of Oluyole Federal Constituency, who are interested in working with the Nigeria Police Force to apply for the ongoing Recruitment exercise via www.policerecruitment.gov.ng,” she added.
Ms Akande-Sadipe also gave out a phone line for applicants to forward details of their application to a designated line for follow up by her office.
“Once your online application has been completed, applicants are advised to submit their application details in the order of Name, Application details, Phone number and Email to our Admin WhatsApp line, 08186277955,” the lawmaker stated.
