The Media and Communications team of President Bola Tinubu has been restructured for enhanced efficiency within the government’s communication machinery.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, disclosed that the decision to take this action was also to ensure effective and consistent communication of government policies, decisions, and engagements.

It was stated that the Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, Mr Sunday Dare, is now the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, while the Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Mr Daniel Bwala, is now the Special Adviser on Policy Communication.

The duo will join Mr Onanuga to work as the spokesperson for Mr Tinubu, according to the statement issued on Monday night.

“These appointments, along with the existing role of Special Adviser, Information and Strategy, underscore that there is no single individual spokesperson for the Presidency.

“Instead, all the three Special Advisers will collectively serve as spokespersons for the government.

“This approach aims to ensure effective and consistent communication of government policies, decisions, and engagements,” a part of the statement said.
