The popular fun spot in Lagos, Quilox, owned by a former federal lawmaker, Mr Shina Peller, has again been sealed by the state government.

Recall that for the past few years, the club has been sealed by the Lagos State government because of the traffic gridlock its customers cause in the area.

In a statement on Sunday, it was disclosed that Quilox was again sealed by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC).

According to the statement, the nightclub was locked by the state government officials for “environmental and safety infractions.”

“This move follows a previous press release wherein both agencies sternly cautioned social centres to prioritize the safety and well-being of citizens, affirming their commitment to penalize any establishments found in violation,” another part of the disclosure said.

Meanwhile, the state government has warned Sol Beach, The Good Beach, and Landmark Beach to adhere to the laws of the state to avert suffering the same fate.

“Furthermore, the agencies have issued warnings to the operators of Sol Beach, The Good Beach, Landmark Beach, and other social centres across the state.

“They emphasize the imperative for these establishments to consider and implement adequate measures to ensure the safety and well-being of their neighbours and fellow citizens during the festive Yuletide season,” the statement added.
