By Dipo Olowookere
A 24-year-old robbery suspect, Mr Gbenga Ashiru, has confessed spending his loot on two top Fuji musicians in Nigeria, Wasiu Ayinde fondly called K1 De Ultimate and Alabi Pasuma Wonder.
The suspect told police in Lagos that anytime he goes for an operation, he finds delight in showing off by spraying the loot on both musicians while performing on stage.
He described himself as an ardent fan of K1 De Ultimate and Pasuma.
PM Express quoted the suspected armed robber as saying, “I robbed in order to raise money I will spray these Fuji artistes while on stage.
“Anytime I succeed in any robbery operation, I don’t miss KWAM 1 and Pasuma Wonder shows.”
Mr Ashiru was paraded by the police after he was apprehended by the operatives of the State Anti-Robbery Special Squad (SARS) Ikeja following a tip-off.
The fair-complexioned suspect who speaks a combination of English with pidgin confessed that armed robbery is one of the quickest, very lucrative but dangerous job in the world, PM Express reports.
According to the suspect, he came from a responsible family, but blamed his friends for making him join a cult group before going into drugs and armed robbery.
He pleaded for mercy, promising to turn over a new leaf afterwards.
Meanwhile, police are still carrying out investigations before charging him to court.
