Domino’s Pizza Sponsors Customer’s Trip to 2021 AFCON Final

A customer of Domino’s Pizza Nigeria, Mr Faruk Manzo from Abuja, will be in Cameroun for the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) taking place on Sunday, February 6, 2022.

Mr Manzo emerged as the overall winner of the Domino’s Soccer League competition put in place to reward loyal customers of the company.

Domino’s Pizza Nigeria is the leading pizza chain globally and a franchisee of Eat’N’Go. The firm organised the contest to give an all-expense-paid trip to the winner for the highest African football competition, which started January 9, 2022.

At the final round of the Pizza Soccer League competition held at the Ajah store of the company on Saturday, January 22, 2022, Mr Manzo was the overall winner and will, in addition, get a cash prize of N200,000, while Ransom Egene from Port Harcourt and Chidera Okolie from Lagos, who emerged as the first and second runners-up respectively, will receive N100,000 each.

The Marketing Manager of Domino’s Pizza Nigeria, Ms Mariam Busari, while speaking at the event, stated that, “We are delighted to welcome customers through our doors to experience the highest quality of food and services.

“We pride ourselves on being that Pizza company where families and friends can come together and connect, whether that be over a meal, celebrating the little achievements or having fun in our stores.

“We created this competition for soccer-loving customers to come and enjoy the game. Our objective is to create an experience that allows our customers to feel connected to the football community and reward their loyalty.

“We at Domino’s Pizza are aware that we have a social responsibility to empower individuals in our community by creating new opportunities and experiences for people to take advantage of.”

The District Supervisor of Domino’s Pizza Nigeria, Mr Jackson Moses, while also speaking, said, “The launch of this tournament across our stores is a fantastic way to appreciate the togetherness that has always been central in the football community.”
