Rio 2016: Germany Tame Nigeria To Reach Final

Germany have defeated Nigeria’s Dream Team 6 to clinch a spot in the final of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

In the men’s football second semi-final match played on Wednesday night, Germany beat Nigeria 2-0 to book a place with Brazil in the final.

Earlier, Brazil trashed Honduras 6-0.

The Germans grabbed their first goal in the 9th minute when a Serge Gnabry’s clever pass into the box fooled the Nigerian defence for Max Meyer to latch on to.

The second goal was scored in the second half of the match.

Nigeria will now hope to win bronze in the competition by beating Honduras.
