BREAKING: Two Die as Helicopter Crashes into Lagos Building (PHOTOS)

A small aircraft has crashed into a house in the Opebi area of Lagos State. The incident occurred on Friday morning and the main cause is yet to be determined.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), which rushed to the scene of the crash, the unfortunate incident precisely happened at Salvation Road.

Business Post gathered that two persons were feared dead from the crash, while one person, who sustained a serious injury, has been taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The scene of the helicopter crash is not too far from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos.

“LASEMA Response Team at Opebi Helicopter Crash, rescue ongoing

“The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has activated its resources to the helicopter crash at 16A Salvation Opebi Road, today, Friday, August 28, 2020.

“Operations [are] ongoing. Updates [will] be forwarded,” the rescue agency said.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Mr Gboyega Akosile, in a tweet today, confirmed that, “There’s been a helicopter crash in a private house at Opebi area of Lagos.

“Two people confirmed dead, 1 person badly wounded and has been taken to the hospital. The dead bodies have been deposited at the mortuary.
