The 2017 edition of Africa-France Summit will take place on January 13 and 14 in Bamako, Mali.

Vice-President of Mali, Mr Vincent Meriton, will be representing President Danny Faure at the occasion.

Under the theme ‘Le Partenariat, la Paix et l’Emergence’, the summit is being held within the context of maintaining peace, security, and sustainable development in Africa.

It will enable the participating Heads of State and Governments to examine their long established partnership with France, especially in the aftermath of the adoption of Agenda 2030 (the Sustainable Development Goals) and the success of the Paris Climate Change Agreement (COP21).

The Vice-President will be accompanied by the Principal Secretary of the Vice-President’s Office, Mr Alain Volcere. They will also take part in an economic forum to be held alongside the summit.
